Port Arthur Health Department announces latest coronavirus-related death Tuesday morning
An eighth Port Arthur resident has died of coronavirus-related complications, health officials announced Tuesday morning.
“It is with great sadness” that the Port Arthur Health Department delivered the news, identifying the victim as an African American female between the age of 50 and 55.
It has been determined this individual had underlying health conditions, according to the health department.
On Monday evening, Port Arthur announced 22 new cases of COVID-19 for local residents, bringing the Port Arthur total to 375 since testing began.
