Hurricane Center monitoring pressure area off Louisiana coast

The National Hurricane Center is monitoring a small low pressure area off the southeast Louisiana coast.
According to the National Weather Service, while it only has a low 20 percent chance for development in the northeastern Gulf of Mexico Sunday and Monday, the threat increases to a medium 40 percent chance off the southeast U.S. coast later this week.
Warning Coordination Meteorologist Roger Erickson the system poses no threat for Southeast Texas.
