The Nederland Swimming Pool is going to close for two weeks, City Manager Chris Duque.
On Sunday, the City was advised two employees who work at the Nederland Swimming Pool were going to test due to possible COVID-19 exposure.
On Wednesday, the Parks staff was notified one employee tested positive for COVID-19 and the other tested negative for COVID-19.
Duque said in accordance with the state guidelines, the pool area is regularly cleaned for the health and safety of the pool patrons and employees.
“Out of an abundance of caution, the Nederland Swimming Pool will be closed for two weeks and will re-open on Saturday, July 4,” Duque said. “When the pool re-opens, the City will continue to prioritize the health and safety of patrons and pool employees via social distancing at the pool and regular cleaning.”
