Southeast Texas and Southwest Louisiana residents and travelers can expect a stormy weather pattern Wednesday and Thursday.

Besides the risk for lightning and damaging winds of 40 to 60 mph in the stronger storms, weather experts are forecasting some areas to see 2 to 6 inches of rain.

Locally, higher amounts are possible.

This will cause street flooding in some areas.
