Mr. James Towers of Port Arthur, TX passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at home due to a progressive lung disease.

He was a resident of Port Arthur for 66 years and was self-employed at T & B Floors and Janitorial for 40 years.

He was a member of Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist church and a 1972 graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School.

A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, June 13, 2020 at Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Vaughn officiating.

He is survived by his ex-wife and friend, Hazel Williams; mother, Jessie Posey; daughters Satia and Ebony Towers; siblings Ludie Weaver of Simsboro, LA, Sharon Wilson of Houston, TX; granddaughter, Raliegh Reynolds; son-in-law, Rodney Reynolds; devoted friend, Anthony Reed; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
