Another victim arrived to the police station, “where she collapsed from her injuries,” police reported.

During the investigation it was discovered two victims and a gunman were “involved in a physical altercation” leading one man to produce a hand gun and shoot the two victims, authorities said.

Both victims were taken to the CHRISTUS Southeast Texas St. Elizabeth Trauma Center as a result of their injuries.

Police Chief Tim Duriso said a suspect was located in a near-by apartment, arrested and taken to the Jefferson County Correctional Facility on two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Duriso said the suspect is a 27-year-old Beaumont man.

Police did not immediately release the suspect’s name.
