Port Arthur man shot Thursday night, PAPD says

A Port Arthur man was shot Thursday night at his home, authorities said.
According to the Port Arthur Police Department, officers responded to Louis Manor Apartments on Joe Louis Avenue following a shooting report at 10:28 p.m. Thursday.
There, they located a 33-year-old male resident of the apartments with a gunshot wound to his calf area.
The victim was taken to CHRISTUS Southeast Texas – St. Elizabeth for medical treatment.
Police said the victim was shot during an aggravated robbery.
The PAPD did not initially release any suspect information.
Sgt. Shawn Perron said police photographically documented the crime scene, collected evidence and conducted interviews with the victim and witnesses.
The Criminal Investigations Division is leading the response.
