PA breaks down positive coronavirus cases on web

The Port Arthur Health Department has posted a breakdown of each positive case of coronavirus it has confirmed on the city’s website, portarthurtx.gov.

A chart is posted each for Port Arthur, Nederland, Port Neches and Groves.

Each chart indicates the gender of each patient, the age range (each within five years), whether the case was travel-related or community-spread, and whether the person is deceased, hospitalized or at home.

According to numbers released Wednesday, Port Arthur has 20 confirmed cases of coronavirus, Nederland six, Groves four and Port Neches one. In all, Jefferson County has totaled 92 cases, including 57 from Beaumont. Five citizens of Jefferson County have died from coronavirus.

Nine of the cases in Port Arthur have been travel-related. One was determined to be community-spread, with five classified as possibly community-spread and the other five to be undetermined.

Fourteen of the Port Arthur patients are now at home.
