Ruthie Mae Hudson, of Port Arthur, TX passed away Monday, March 30, 2020 at M.D. Anderson Hospital, Houston, TX.

A native of Jasper, TX, she was a resident of Port Arthur for over 65 years.

A private graveside service will be held Thursday, April 9.

Officiants Rev. David Hudson, Rev. Vernon Hudson, Jr., Rev. Delton Narcisse and Rev. James E. Payne.

Burial will follow in Live Oak Cemetery under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be held at a future date.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, L.C. Hudson.

Leaving to cherish her memories are her sisters, Thyatrice Young and C’Ella M. Blevins; her daughters, Sharon D. Hudson-Spinks and Veronica H. Thomas of Houston, TX; her son, Craig Hudson, Sr., College Station, TX; grandchildren, Alyssa (Esan) Savannah, Sharonda (Peter) Armanas, Brandon Richard, Chela Hudson, Danielle (Darryl) Smith, Craig Hudson, Jr. and Gerald M. Thomas; 12 great-grandchildren; a very special friend who is family, Rev. Delton Narcisse; and a host of relatives and friends.
