Officials from Jefferson, Hardin, Orange and Jasper counties are looking to create a dedicated health hotline for the region.

Details about the hotline, as well as regional response efforts to coronavirus disease (COVID-19), are expected to be shared during a 2 p.m. Thursday press conference.

The press conference will take place at the Jefferson County Courthouse in the Jury Impaneling Room.

County judges from Jefferson, Hardin, Orange and Jasper County are expected to attend, as well as mayors from Jefferson County.
