A statement from Nederland school officials said:

“We appreciate the feedback and response to the student and staff travel registries. After much thought and reviewing the travel registries from students and staff, Nederland ISD will close all facilities immediately. At this time, school will resume on Monday, March 23rd, 2020. Information regarding academic planning and support from the child nutrition department will be posted soon. School administrators are continuously meeting to determine the next steps. There will be no academic penalty for any Nederland ISD student or staff.”
