Phyllis Ann Cheatem passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, February 28, 2020 to natural causes.

She was a graduate of the Abraham Lincoln High Class of 1965 and a member of New St. John Missionary Baptist Church for many years.

Phyllis is preceded in death by her late husband Willie Gus Cheatem, her parents Clarence & Beaulah Hulin as well as four sisters; Marion Prescott, Helen Hulin, Wanda Hulin and Brenda Hulin.

Phyllis leaves to cherish her precious memories one son, Michael (Felicia) Hulin of San Diego CA; five daughters, Sonya Hulin, Jennifer Hulin, Stephanie Hulin, Tina Hulin and Cassandra Hulin all of Port Arthur, TX; four brothers, Irvin (Anne) Hulin Abbeville, LA., Clarence Hulin, Gregory Hulin and Michael Wayne Hulin all of Port Arthur, TX; five sisters, Linda Hulin, Joycelyn (Malcolm) Gros, Pastor Lisa (Richard) Sweet, Juanita Hulin and Carol (Abra) Young, all of Port Arthur, TX.

Phyllis also leaves 12 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives including cherished nieces Ava Prescott, Angela Gasper and Dena Panza.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, March 6, 2020 at New St. John Missionary Baptist Church, Rev. Claude Comeaux Jr. officiating with visitation from 9 a.m. until service time.

Burial will follow in Live Oak Cemetery.
