PNG-ex Braden Bailey is back from his Florida spring training, preparing to make a final push for a spot on the Canadian PGA’s Mackenzie Tour.

Though pleased with where his game is, Bailey has suffered a bit from lack of tournament competition.

To make up for that, he plans to play in upcoming APT Tour events in Alexandria and Marksville, Louisiana. Also, an outside possibility is the Korn-Ferry Tour stop in Lake Charles March 26-29. …

Andrew Landry and Chris Stroud will return to the PGA Tour next week at the Players Championship. Stroud missed his seventh consecutive cut last week at the Honda while Landry took the week off. …

Entry deadline is Thursday for the 47th Nederland Heritage Festival Tournament set for Saturday at Zaharias. Format is a flighted 2-person scramble. Cost is $20 per player above cart and greens fees, with the $20 going to the prize fund.
