NEDERLAND — The Nederland Chamber of Commerce is accepting nomination letters for 2020 Mother of the Year.

Letters are not to exceed 250 words and should be mailed to: P.O. Box 891, Nederland, Texas 77627 or delivered to 1515 Boston Ave. in Nederland.

The deadline for nomination letters is April 23 by 5 p.m.

All mothers nominated must live within the Nederland School District, although persons sending in letters are not required to live in Nederland.

The letter should include the nominee’s past and present involvement in family, community and any other services.

Name, address and telephone number of the nominated mother AND the person sending in the nomination are required.

If the person nominated is not chosen, she may be nominated again in following years.

The 2020 Mother of the Year will be honored at a reception at 6 p.m. May 7 at Nederland City Hall.
