PAPD: Carjacking victim suffers “serious injury” stabbing Saturday night

A motorist was stabbed during a Saturday night carjacking in Port Arthur, police said.
Port Arthur Police said the victim was traveling on a motorized bicycle and was approached by two unknown black males, who were attempting to take his bike.
The altercation took place at approximately 7:30 p.m. in the area of 11th Avenue and 6th Street.
“During the struggle one of the (males) stabbed the victim in the back, causing serious injury,” Officer John H Fontenette said. “The victim was transported the hospital for treatment.”
