Two Port Arthur men were indicted by a Jefferson County grand jury this week for shooting a man during a robbery.

According to court documents, the 37-year-old victim came to Port Arthur Nov. 1 to buy drugs and was picked up by two men, later identified as Bryson Denard Boudoin Jr., 17, and Gasani Glenn Paul Bernard, 18.

The three ended up at Louis Manor Apartments, where Boudoin and Bernard reportedly robbed him at gunpoint. When the victim refused to give them money, they began to assaulting him, with one of the assailants shooting the victim in the abdomen.

The robbers fled while the victim drove to a nearby location before being brought to a local hospital.

Police were able to identify the two men through security video from a store where the victim had picked them up.

Authorities said video showed Bernard in the rear passenger seat and social media showed the two men together despite claims by Bernard that he had very little affiliation with Boudoin.

Court documents also showed both men were students at Tekoa Academy.

They were arrested earlier this month on the charges and are being held in the Jefferson County Correctional Facility on $200,000 bond each.
