Anthony “Tony” Roccaforte

Anthony “Tony” Roccaforte, Jr. was born on July 25, 1929, in Port Arthur, Texas and passed away peacefully on February 17, 2020, at Bonne Vie Nursing Facility in Port Arthur.

Tony was long time member of St. Catherine Catholic Church in Port Arthur.

He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict from 1951 to 1953.

He achieved rank of 1st sergeant and also served twenty-five years in the Reserves.

Tony was a retired instrument worker for Texaco Oil Refinery for many years.

Tony was predeceased in death by his parents, Anthony “Tony” Roccaforte, Sr. and Anna Nicotre Roccaforte; a brother, Joseph Roccaforte and his wife Marie and a sister, Lillie Roccaforte Collida and her husband Dominic; nephews, Gary Wayne Bordonaro, Sammy Collida, Ricky Collida and David Roccaforte; niece, Carmela Collida Jackson.

Survivors include his sister, Anna Mae Roccaforte Bordonaro, Rose Roccaforte Whitton and her husband P.C.; brothers, Frank Roccaforte and his wife Eloise and Leonard Roccaforte and his wife, Kathy.

Additional family members include a host of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

A visitation will take place from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 20, 2020, at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home in Port Arthur with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, at St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church in Port Arthur with burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves, Texas.

Serving as Pallbearers will be A.J. Roccaforte, Greg Roccaforte, Michael Roccaforte, Joseph Nicotre, Anthony Roccaforte and Ronald Roccaforte. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be James Hauck, Camille Roccaforte Charles Roccaforte, Gary Roccaforte, Voorhies Roccaforte, Monroe Pratt, Wayne Hauck, Ronnie Nicotre and Terry Nicotre.
