A much-loved wife, mother, and grandmother, Mrs. Sandra Jean Channel of Port Arthur, TX., passed away peacefully Thursday, December 26, 2019 at her home with her family present.

She bravely battled and fought lung cancer.

Sandra was born September 11, 1948 in Port Arthur, TX where she resided for 71 years.

She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1967 and was employed by Procare Home Health.

She was a faithful member of New Jerusalem Baptist Church and recently a member of Strong Tower Ministries.

She was also an honorary member of Uneek Ideels Sisterhood, Inc.

A visitation is scheduled from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Saturday, January 4, 2020 at Strong Tower Ministries.

Funeral service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday at Strong Tower Ministries with Rev. Herb Fontnette officiating.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years Evan Channel Sr. of Port Arthur, TX; children, Tamara Channel of Fort Worth, TX, Evan Channel Jr. of Grand Prairie, TX and Jacquelyn Channel of Port Arthur, TX; 4 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
