Rose Lawson, 90, of Nederland passed away December 24, 2019.

She was born in Chicago IL on September 22, 1929.

Rose was a faithful member of Triumph Church in Nederland, was dedicated to her Lord, and was the door greeter.

Rose never met a stranger and was highly thought of by all that knew her. She was kind, compassionate, and a care giver to others.

Those left to Rose’s memory are her children, Susan Page and her husband Ronald, Elizabeth Lawson, and Patricia Swaby and her husband Richard; her grandchildren, Tabatha Swaby, Shawna Page, Stefanie Plaunty, and Charli Miller; her great-grandchildren, Jacoby Mowles, Jared Mowles, Kalle Miller, Kaden Miller, Gavyn Plaunty, and Benjamin Plaunty; and her great-great-grandchild, Coraline Mowles.

She is preceded in death by her parents and 8 siblings.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland on Saturday, December 28, 2019 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with a funeral service being held at 2:00 p.m.

Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County Cemetery in Nederland.
