PORT NECHES — A portion of FM 366 in front of the TPC Group Port Neches Operations facility will reopen to one lane travel in each direction at 6 a.m. Saturday.

The stretch of FM 366 goes between Texas Highway 136 Spur and Park Street. It has been closed since the Nov. 27 explosions at the facility. A speed restriction will be in effect to ensure the continued safety of response personnel.

TPC Group cautioned in a release that the restart of some equipment on site may be heard or seen off-site. Flaring is a normal part of a shutdown or start-up process and helps to ensure that facilities are environmentally sound.
