Water shut off from 5th-12th Avenues between Procter, 5th Street

A water main break at 3412 5th Ave. resulted in water service being shut off from 5th to 12th Avenues between Procter and 5th Streets, according to a phone message from the city of Port Arthur Water Department.

A message to one of The Port Arthur News phones was left at 5:49 p.m. The person in the recorded message said water service would be shut off for three to four hours.

“We apologize for the inconvenience,” the person says in the message.

Anyone with questions about the shutoff is asked to call the Port Arthur Water Department at 409-983-8550.
