A man who suffered non-life threatening injuring from a stabbing was released from the hospital but is not cooperating with law enforcement, police say.
Port Arthur Police Chief Tim Duriso said the victim had a puncture type wound but the weapon used is not known.
PAPD was called at approximately 3:19 p.m. Tuesday to Prince Hall Apartments, 914 W. 14th St. in reference to a stabbing but found that the victim had left on foot.
They performed a brief search and found the victim and he was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Duriso could not give any suspect information because the man refused to cooperate. Generally, a victim’s or witness’ failure to cooperate hampers the investigation, making it very difficult to proceed.
He said at this point if they found a suspect, they would need a witness in order to go forward with the case.
