City manager interviews open to public Nov. 13

The Port Arthur City Council’s interviews with the four finalists for city manager will be conducted in an open forum at the council chamber Nov. 13.

Interviews will begin at 8:45 a.m. The format for the interviews will be announced that day, Mayor Thurman Bartie said.

The city this week announced its four finalists — interim city manager Ron Burton; former Spencer, N.C., town manager Terence Arrington; former Ferguson, Mo., city manager De’Carlon Seewood; and Scott Moore, whose most recent work experience was not announced and has not yet been confirmed.

A timeline has not been announced for making a final decision on the successful candidate.

The council chamber is located on the fifth floor of City Hall.
