Herbie Jean Grant, 76, of Port Arthur, TX passed away Sunday, October 20, 2019 at her home surrounded by family and friends.

Herbie was born January 30, 1943 to the late Herbert and Maude Walker.

She was a native and lifelong resident of Port Arthur, TX and a devoted housewife.

Herbie is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Leroy Grant, and her sister, Loice Walker.

She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Samantha A. Marsh (Gerald) and Danette A. Kirklin (Cedric); five grandchildren, Gerald Marsh, Jr. (Iraen), Darrius Greer, Royal Greer, Raja’nee Greer, Chaqualla Kirklin; eleven great-grandchildren; five sisters, Naomi Decuire of Phoenix, AZ, Phyllis Colbert (Charles) of San Antonio, TX, Gertrude Hayes (Gerald), Eva Babino (Xavier) of Port Arthur, TX and Marjorie Walker of Houston, TX; a devoted friend Christine Reynolds of Houston, TX; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Gabriel Funeral Home Chapel, 2500 Procter Street, Port Arthur, TX with visitation from 12 noon until service time.
