The Julie Rogers Gift of Life Mobile Mammography van, sponsored by Motiva Port Arthur Refinery, was at the West Side Development Center in Port Arthur on Wednesday.

The van provides no-cost mammography services to medically underserved women in the area. Motiva has been a sponsor of the van for more than 10 years.

“I don’t know what our clients would do without the services of the Gift of Life,” Molly Lee, Program Services Coordinator, said.

More than 30,000 women in the area have benefitted from this potentially lifesaving service.

“It is only through partnering with organizations like the Port Arthur Health Department that the Gift of Life is able to offer these preventative services,” Ingrid Holmes, Strategic Healthcare Manager, said. “The Gift of Life ensures that medically underserved women of this community have access to free mammograms. The support of Motiva is appreciated always.”
