Man killed in Port Arthur hit-&-run; police looking for driver

Port Arthur Police Department personnel are searching for a driver involved in a Wednesday night hit-and-run that left a man dead, authorities said.
Police officers responded at approximately 3:14 a.m. Thursday to the 3000 block of Savannah Avenue (Spur 215) in reference to an auto pedestrian crash.
Upon arrival officers found a 40-year-old male pedal cyclist was struck and killed.
The victim’s name was not released.
Authorities said the suspect that struck him Wednesday evening had left the scene.
Advanced Accident Investigation Team members were on duty at the time and investigated the crash. Members of Port Arthur Police Dept. CID were also notified to assist in the investigation.
