The team of Timmy Roberts-Beau Blackwell shot a 62 in a two-man scramble format to win first flight in the Joe Williams Memorial Scramble at Babe Zaharias. Placing second at 65 was the duo of Blain Girouard-Chad Adaway.
In second flight Bryce Whalet-Connor Allen placed first with a 63, after winning a scorecard playoff with Mike Krautz-Johnny Krautz. There was also a tie in third flight with Frank Leblanc-Buster Stelly winning the scorecard playoff over Kirt Gaspard-Gabe Hernandez after both teams shot 63.
Closest to the pin winners were Shane Trahan (No. 2) and Buster Stelly (No. 12). Bryce Parsley won the long drive. …
In the Senior 50 Plus 2-ball at Zaharias, the team of Keith Mullins, Ronnie Richards, Jeff Rinehart and Charles Perez won the front with minus-2. That number was also good enough to win on the back for the foursome of Ted Freeman, Tony Trevino, Larry Johnson and Tommy Duhon. …
The Friday 2-ball at Zaharias saw the team of Gene Jones, Charlie Leard, Dillard Darbonne and Dwayne Belliot take the front with mius 3. Minus-5 won the back for the foursome of James Shipley, Rusty Hicks, Mike Parker and Tom Brown. …
Wednesday’s Babe Zaharias DogFight was won with 20 points by the team of Keith Mullins, Bob Luttrull, Randy Monk and Frank LeBlanc. Second with 16 points was the team of Mike Brown, Rufus Reyes, Harry Green and Dwayne Benoit.
