Dorothy Louise Weeks, 85, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away September 15, 2019.

She was born in Jonesboro, Louisiana on October 10, 1933 to the late Roy Columbus Lee and Lula Mae Flurry Lee. Dorothy was a member of United Pentecostal Church in Bridge City and retired from
the PAISD after working the school cafeteria for 28 years.

Those left to cherish Dorothy’s memory are her 3 sons, Douglas Weeks and his wife, Kathy of Nederland, Jamie Weeks and his wife, Sarah of Port Arthur, and David Weeks and his wife, Cheryl of Nederland; 8 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Claude Ray Weeks, Jr.; her granddaughter, Michelle “Missy” Weeks; and her brothers, Billy Roy “Bubba” Lee and James Clayton Lee.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at Melancon’s Funeral Home with interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.
