PORT NECHES — An investigation into an alleged indecent assault between two juveniles on a Port Neches-Groves Independent School District bus has concluded and determined to be false.

Julie Gauthier, assistant superintendent for administrative services, said the district recently received the report of an alleged incident occurring on a school bus returning from an extracurricular activity.

The district opened an investigation in conjunction with the Port Neches Police Department.

“The investigation is now complete and all evidence, including both testimony and video, demonstrate the allegations to be false,” Gauthier said.

“Because this incident involves students, PNGISD is prohibited by law from providing additional information; however, our community should feel confident that the District takes all allegations of this nature seriously and remains committed to providing a safe and secure environment for all students and staff. “

Port Neches Police Department Chief Paul Lemoine said the school resource officer assisted the ISD in the investigation of the alleged incident and determined it did not occur and there was nothing to support the allegations.
