Volleyball: Bulldogs defend home court against Eagles

Katie Perez nearly reached a double-double, and Kamren Savarino totaled 44 assists Friday in helping Nederland notch a 25-15, 20-25, 25-18, 25-23 win at home against Woodville.

Perez was one dig shy of her double-double while finishing with 11 kills. Hannah Hickey totaled 17 kills, two blocks and three aces, and Karley McGill added 11 kills and four blocks in the victory.

Kaylee Adams led Nederland’s defense with 22 digs and Rylee Bolser blocked two to go with nine kills.

The Bulldogs (16-12) will visit Goose Creek Memorial on Tuesday.

Also Friday: Deweyville defeated Sabine Pass in four sets.
