Pastor Agnes Ruth Getwood, 64, of Port Arthur, TX, was born December 15, 1954 in Port Arthur, TX and arrived in the Holy land on Sunday, August 11, 2019. She was born to Sherman Jenkins Jr. and Helen Babineaux Jenkins, who both proceeded her in death. Pastor Agnes Getwood was additionally proceeded in death by her brother, Donald Ray Jenkins.

Pastor Agnes Getwood was a 1972 graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School in Port Arthur, TX and graduated Lamar College Port Arthur in Nursing and Theology.

She was an employee of the Renal Center of Port Arthur, TX. Pastor Agnes was a faithful servant of Christ. She opened her own church, Antioch Church Without Walls, where she was the Pastor until her passing.

She leaves one son to cherish her memory, Richard Keller Jr. (Gretchel); grandsons, Richard Keller III and Nathan Keller all of Port Arthur; sisters, Barbara Babineaux of Port Arthur, TX, Mary Clay of Missouri City, TX, Eva Adams (Freddie) of Killeen TX; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives, close friends, Antioch Church Without Walls members, and other Pastoral members whom she loved dearly.

A wake will be held from 6-9 p.m., Friday, August 23, 2019, at Gabriel Funeral Home in Port Arthur. A visitation is scheduled from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Saturday, August 24, 2019 with funeral service to follow at Grace Church of the Nazarene.

Entombment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
