Motorcyclist dies after hitting couch on I-10
ORANGE COUNTY — A motorcyclist died after hitting a couch that was on Interstate 10 Friday night in Orange County.
At around 10:45 p.m., a 2010 Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by John Franklin Martin, 42, of Buna, was traveling eastbound in the inside lane on Interstate 10 near mile marker 858 when he hit the couch and was ejected. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, according to information from the Texas Department of Public Safety
He was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont and died a short time later.
