GROVES — The deadline to enter the Groves Pecan Festival Queen’s Scholarship Pageant is fast approaching.

Applications may be picked up at the Groves Chamber of Commerce office at 4399 Main Ave., Groves.

Completed applications with registration fees are due by noon July 12. No late applications will be accepted.

The pageant is open to girls ages 3 to 12th grade that live in Groves and completed applications will be accepted on a first come first serve basis. Each category is limited to 15 contestants. Categories go by grade:

• Petite Miss — 3-years to prekindergarten
• Little Miss — kindergarten to first grade
• Duchess — second to third grade
• Countess — fourth to fifth grade
• Junior Miss — sixth to seventh grade
• Princess — eighth to ninth grade
• Queen — 10^th to 12^th grade

The Groves Pecan Festival Queen’s Scholarship Pageant will be held Sept. 21.
