Demaryius Thomas, who spent part of last season with the Houston Texans after nearly nine seasons with the Denver Broncos, signed a contract with the New England Patriots, the latter team announced Tuesday.

The deal is reportedly for one year and worth up to $6 million.

Thomas was traded from the Broncos to the Texans last Oct. 30 and the very next game — at Denver — he caught all three passes targeted to him for 61 yards in a win. He finished the year with 59 catches for 677 yards and five touchdowns, the last two as a Texan against the Tennessee Titans.
