Barrs’ award comes five days after she broke the NCAA Division I record for career steals in a road win at Houston Baptist. Now with 632 steals (the old record was 624), she averaged 7.5 steals, 14.5 points, 9 assists and 8.5 rebounds and recorded two double-doubles in the past two games (Lamar also beat Stephen F. Austin to win a share of the conference on Saturday).

Megan Herbert of Central Arkansas had won the weekly award six times during the 2011-12 campaign.

Garth shot 57.9 percent from three-point range and averaged 24 points and 6.5 assists in home wins over HBU and SFA. He had a high of 28 against HBU, making 7 of 10 three-point baskets in the process.

**CORRECTED to reflect correct number of weekly awards for Garth this season**
