Viola Ned Smith

Viola Ned Smith, 94, was born to the union of the late Warner Ned and Mary Harrison on November 12, 1923 in Big Cane, LA. Viola (Aunt or Nanny Precious) Smith was peacefully called home to be with our Lord and Savior on November 9, 2018.
In February, Viola and Willis Smith lovingly united in holy matrimony (47 years) where they moved to Port Arthur, TX. Viola (Aunt or Nanny Precious) was a longtime and faithful member of Eastern Star Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Sanctuary choir and Free Willing Mission Circle. She retired after 30 years, working at St. Mary Hospital.
She is preceded in death by four brothers, three sisters, relatives and friends.
To cherish her precious memories are Maple Randall (sister); host of nephews, nieces, god-children, relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Eastern Star Missionary Baptist Church with visitation from 12 noon until service time. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
