Omission in Football Showdown winners

Michael Lee of Nederland went 14-1 in Week 10 of The News’ Football Showdown, which appears each Tuesday in section B.
Lee’s name was inadvertently omitted from the announcement of winners in Tuesday’s edition. Lee’s record matched Yolanda Dickerson of Port Arthur and Perry Lockett of Groves.

FOOTBALL SHOWDOWN RULE CHANGE
Beginning with the Week 11 edition of the Showdown (which was printed Tuesday, Nov. 6), all mailed entries must be POSTMARKED by the Friday* immediately after the contest is published (in this week’s case, Friday, Nov. 9) to be accepted. All entries that are EMAILED must still be received to jpinnt@gt.rr.com by 5 p.m. each Friday*. All eligible entries will be collected early the following week, and the winners will be announced at the first possible opportunity in the Showdown.
*If a Thursday game is listed, the due day for postmarked, dropoff or email entry becomes Thursday, per rules.
