Tighe Huber, M.D.

Tighe Huber, M.D., 65, of Nederland, died Sunday, October 7, 2018. A native of Port Arthur, he was born on December 11, 1952, to Edith Button Huber-Logsdon and Carl Frederick “Fred” Huber.

Dr. Huber was a family physician for twenty-seven years. Growing up, he dreamed of becoming a Port Arthur – Thomas Jefferson Yellow Jacket football player. Not only did he achieve that goal, but he was also a proud University of Texas football alumni; Jefferson County Medical Association member; Texas Medical Association member; and American Academy of Family Practice member.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Huber; and daughter, Alisha Nicole Dungan and her husband, Clint, of Nederland; sons, Trevor Kyle Huber and his wife, Stefanie, of Frisco and Stefan Huber and his wife, Nicole, of League City; brother, Marc Huber, of Austin; four grandchildren; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Thelma and Karl Fragstein, of Nederland.

Dr. Huber is preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Kyle and Chris Huber.

A gathering of Dr. Huber’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, October 26, 2018, at First Baptist Church, 1911 Nederland Avenue, Nederland. His memorial service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 27, 2018, at First Baptist Church, Nederland, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.  His family committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
