Esther Mae Carter Clark

On Thursday, October 11, 2018, Esther Mae (Carter) Clark departed her earthly body while at The Medical Center in Port Arthur, TX to be present with the Lord.  She was born to the late Forest Carter and Lula (Armstrong) Walker on May 27, 1930 in Jacoby, LA.  Sis. Clark was a charter member of the East Mount Olive Baptist Church for 60 years.  She was an active, loving, faithful member of the Senior Choir, Mission, Building Fund Committee, and Eastern Progressive Mission and Women Department.

She is preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Tom Walker, and her husband Anthony Clark, Sr.

Sis. Clark leaves to cherish her life, love, and precious memories her six children, Anthony Clark, Jr., Lola Williams (Leroy), Norma Goffney (Robert), Erma Jean Collins, Terrell, Sr. (Sebrina) and Wendell (Anissa) all of Port Arthur, TX; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one brother, Bevely Walker (Dorothy) of Baton Rouge, LA; one brother-in-law, Curtis Clark (Agnes); one sister-in-law, Alnetta Jones of Simmesport, LA; two godchildren, Dr. Leroy McCurley and Herman McElroy, Jr.; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, October 20, 2018 at East Mount Olive Baptist Church, 800 Thomas Blvd., Port Arthur, TX with visitation from 9 a.m. until service time.  Pastor Lee E. Fields, Jr. will officiate.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
