Groves Police responded to the following calls from Sept. 12-18

Calls:

  • Miscellaneous calls for service assistance — 135
  • Offense reports filed — 28
  • Motor vehicle accidents investigated — 2

Sept. 12

  • An 18-year-old man was arrested for outstanding warrants and a 18-year-old woman was arrested for allowing unlicensed driver to operate vehicle after a traffic stop.
  • A 28-year-old man was arrested on outstanding warrants.
  • Assault charges were filed in the 6700 block of 39th Street.
  • Theft of windows was reported in the 6400 block of Hansen.
  • A 36-year-old man was arrested for evading arrest with a vehicle.
  • A 38-year-woman was arrested for outstanding warrants.

Sept. 13

  • A citation was issued for possession of drug paraphernalia in the 6400 block of 39th Street after a traffic stop.
  • A forgery report was processed in the 4200 block of Main Avenue.
  • A 24-year-old woman was arrested for outstanding warrants in the 5300 block of Gulfway Drive after a traffic stop.
  • A 45-year-old man was arrested for outstanding warrants in the 2300 block of Main Avenue after a traffic stop.

Sept. 14

  • A 19-year-old was arrested for criminal mischief and failing to identify/fugitive with intent giving false information in the 4500 block of Twin City Highway after a call in reference to a disturbance.
  • A 27-year-old woman was arrested for outstanding warrants in the 6100 block of 32nd Street after a traffic stop.
  • A 25-year-old man was arrested for possession of marijuana in the 3000 block of FM 366 after a traffic stop.

Sept. 15

  • A 47-year-old woman was arrested for outstanding warrants and failure to identify/fugitive with intent to give false information in the 2700 block of Texas 73 after a traffic stop.
  • An assault was processed.
  • A 54-year-old man was arrested for outstanding warrants and failure to identify/fugitive with intent to give false information in the 4800/4420 Twin City Highway after a call in reference to a suspicious subject.
  • A 31-year-old man was arrested for possession of controlled substance in the intersection of Gulfway Drive/Main after a traffic stop.

Sept. 16

  • An information report was processed.
  • A 46-year-old man was arrested for outstanding warrants in the 4100 block of Redwood after a call in reference to a verbal disturbance.
  • A fraud report was processed.
  • Aggravated assault was reported in the 4000 block of Cleveland Avenue after a call in reference to a welfare concern.
  • A dog at large report was reported in the 2400 block of Berry Avenue.

Sept. 17

  • An information report was processed.
  • A dog bite was reported in the 8000 block of Memorial, which had occurred in the 5200 block of Craig Avenue.

Sept. 18

  • A 20-year-old woman was arrested for outstanding pardon and parole warrant in the 5500 block of Gulf Avenue.
  • Recovery of stolen motorcycle was processed in the 4500 block of Twin City Highway.
  • An assault-family violence report was processed in the 4800 block of Wilson after a call in reference to a disturbance.
