PORT NECHES — A Huntsman employee was burned by steam around 8 a.m. Tuesday and was transferred to a Houston area hospital for evaluation, according to information from Huntsman.

Port Neches Fire Department responded to the scene with two firefighters.

The cause of the incident where the female employee received stream burns to the upper torso is still under investigation.
