Betty Louise Deslatte

Betty Louise Deslatte, 79, of Port Arthur passed away on Thursday, July 19, 2018, at Medical Center of Southeast Texas.

Betty was a native and lifelong resident Port Arthur; born on July 23, 1938 to parents Mary LeBlanc and Alfred Kuntz. Betty worked as a waitress for many years at the Sartin’s Seafood Restaurant. She enjoyed watching church on TV and working crossword puzzles. Betty was a loving person and will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sons, Randy Deslatte, and Johnny Deslatte.

Betty is survived by her son, Gregory L. Deslatte of Bridge City, her daughters, Tina Louise Deslatte-Sweat and her husband, Joe, of Orange, Sheila Kay Deslatte-Guilbeau of Groves, her brother, Alfred Kuntz II and his wife, Gail, of Port Arthur and her nephew, Alfred “Boogie” Kuntz III. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. A funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home, with Rev. Perry Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Dougharty Cemetery in Orange, Texas.
