FOOTBALL: Brooks, Bowery to represent Lamar at Southland media day

Linebacker Chaston Brooks and offensive lineman Garrett Bowery will represent Lamar along with head coach Mike Schultz at Thursday’s Southland Conference Media Day activities at the Hilton Houston Post Oak.
Lamar will appear on stage starting at 2:45 p.m. ESPN3.com will webcast Media Day, which begins at 9 a.m. with Southland Commissioner Tom Burnett speaking.
The on-stage schedule for teams: Nicholls State at 9:30; Incarnate Word at 10; Central Arkansas at 10:30; Northwestern State at 11; Abilene Christian at 11:30; Southeastern Louisiana at 1:15; Stephen F. Austin at 1:45; McNeese State at 2:15; Lamar at 2:45; Sam Houston State at 3:15 and Houston Baptist at 3:45.
