Lamar’s men’s tennis team finished 10th in the Texas Region tennis rankings of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.

Lamar broke the top 10 for third year in a row, having landed eighth the previous two seasons. The Cardinals (10-14) started the season with a freshman-laded roster that took on five regionally-ranked teams and won seven of their final 11 matches, needing a win over Nicholls State just to qualify for the Southland Conference championship tournament, which they won to earn an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.
