Reola Speaks, 89 years of age, unexpectedly passed away peacefully at her home in California on May 4, 2018.  Reola was born January 14, 1929 in Louisiana.  She owned and operated Bluebonnet Barber Shop for over 40 years.  She enjoyed cutting hair side by side with the late Robert G. Sidney.  Reola was a faithful member of Shilo Missionary Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and served on the usher board until her health began to fail.  She moved to California with her niece Theresa Simmons, when she could no longer care for herself.  Reola was a loving and caring sister, aunt, friend and barber to many.  To know her, was to LOVE her.

Along with her family, she leaves behind two special friends, Brenda Sidney and Cora Carter of Port Arthur.

Reola’s funeral services were held in California under the direction of Harrison & Ross Mortuary, Los Angeles, CA.
