FISHING: CCA STAR TOURNEY REGISTRATION

Registration is underway for the 29th annual CCA Texas State of Texas Anglers’ Rodeo, or STAR, tournament.
Sixty tagged redfish between 20.5 and 25.5 inches will be released along the Texas Gulf Coast, from Sabine Lake to South Padre Island. The tournament begins at sunrise Saturday and ends Labor Day, Sept. 3, at 5 p.m.
The first five to claim a tagged redfish will each win a 2918 Ford F-150 “Texas Edition” truck with a 23-foot Haynie BigFoot boat rigged with a Mercury 150L Pro XS OptiMax motor and Coastline trailer. The next five tagged redfish catchers will each get the Haynie BigFoot with the Mercury motor and Coastline trailer.
