Mary Lou Dugas, 88, of Groves, Texas passed away Friday, May 18, 2018 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas.
She was born on July 19, 1929 in Port Arthur, Texas to Farness Luquette and Maryetta Valow Luquette.
Mary was a lifelong area resident and member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Port Neches.
She had been employed with Dryden’s and MBank in the collection department.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church with Reverend Shane Baxter officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Bluff Memorial Park.
A visitation for family and friends will be before the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, George O. Dugas.
She is survived by three daughters, Barbara Hanks and husband Robert of Port Neches, TX, Debbie Kersten and husband Dave of McGregor, TX, and Charlene Hoelzer and husband David of Port Neches, TX, son, Darrell Dugas of Port Neches, TX, three half-sisters, Link Schmidt of Leander, TX., Katherine Andrepont of Louisiana, and Patsy Luquette of Leander, TX, half-brother, Andrew Ramirez of Beaumont, TX., ten grandchildren, Stephanie Stotts and husband Darron, David Hanks and wife Marla, Brandon Hanks, Kyle Brown and wife Sarah, Kevin Brown and wife Erika, Brittany Dirnbaur, Maria Dugas, Robert Hoelzer and wife Dana, Joshua Hoelzer and Jacob Hoelzer, and eight great grandchildren, Madelyn Stotts, Mason Stotts, Gavin Hanks, Nolan Hanks, Kaleb Brown, Kenley Brown, Naomi Brown and Royce Weisinger.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Denise Gans, Sharon Kent, Nicole Jones, Angela Tezeno and Altus Hospice for their special care.
