Texas Renaissance Festival’s ‘Sale of the Century’ hath arrived; discount tickets up for grabs on Saturday

HOUSTON– Hear ye, hear ye! Texas Renaissance Festival, the nation’s largest and most acclaimed festival of food, fun and 16th century magic, has announced its its annual “Sale of the Century.”

For a limited time, lords and ladies will have the chance to purchase a limited number of 100,000 admission tickets for $11.95, saving over 65 percent off the regular price, according to a press release from Texas Renaissance Festival.

The Sale of the Century commences at 8 a.m. on Saturday, May 19, and ends at 10 p.m. or after the 100,000th ticket is sold.

“Our festival grows by leaps and bounds year over year, as more people come to discover the magic of the Festival and are transported to the 16th century,” says Texas Renaissance Festival General Manager Terre Albert. “The Sale of the Century is our way of rewarding our loyal fan base, while also extending that magic to those who have yet to experience the wonder of the Festival.”

Located one hour north of Houston, the celebration will take place on Saturdays and Sundays, Sept. 29 – Nov. 25, including Friday, Nov. 23, on the 55-acre festival grounds in Todd Mission, Texas. The festival promises nine unique weekends of merriment: Oktoberfest, 1001 Dreams Weekend, Barbarian Invasion, Pirate Adventure, All Hallows’ Eve, Roman Bacchanal, Heroes and Villains, Highland Fling and Celtic Christmas.

The 16th century village includes five wedding venues, over 400 shops with unique items by world renowned artists, artisans, and merchants, and a student-only School Days event. The festival also hosts thousands of tent campers and RVs on its 200-acre campground, as well as TRF After Dark, an after-hours, adults-only entertainment venue.

Lords and ladies can visit www.texrenfest.com to purchase up to 38 tickets during the Sale of the Century. Each ticket is good for one admission (adult or child) during any regular festival day during the 2018 season. Thereafter, prices go up to $24.95 (Advance Discount) and $32 (Regular Adult Admission).
