Juanita Martin Childress Bryant, 95, of Nederland, died Sunday, May 6, 2018. She was born on December 19, 1922, in Mexia, to Florence Brand and A.C. Martin.

Juanita will be remembered as an excellent cook, seamstress. She loved to crochet and was strong in her faith. Juanita will also be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and Nana.

Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn Childress of Nederland; stepdaughters, Deborah Bryant of Spring; Darlene Gladden and her husband, Johnny, of groves; Diana Beckham and her husband, Kevin, of Katy; Dolores Hussey and her husband, Doug, of Nederland; Donna Kame and her husband, Herb, of Groves; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Christine Jacoby of Warren and Dot Hicks of Bridge City; numerous nieces nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Floyd Childress and Dudley Bryant, Jr.; parents, Florence and A.C. Martin; and sisters, Oleta Harvey and Frances Owens.

A gathering of Mrs. Bryant’s family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., with her funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
