Brewster Blanks Irby

Brewster Blanks Irby, 93 of Groves, Texas passed away Sunday, May 6, 2018 at Senior Rehab & Skilled Nursing in Port Arthur, Texas.

Brewster was born March 12, 1925 in Meridian, Mississippi to Chester Irby and Ola Blanks Irby. He was a resident of Groves for 25 years and member of Procter Baptist Church. He also participated in the Foster Grandparent Program.

Brewster was a surgical attendant with numerous hospitals across the U. S., retiring in New Mexico after 48 years of service. He proudly served in the U. S. Army during World War II.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Cleda Irby; daughter, Brenda Irby; and son, Ray Irby.

Survivors include his daughter, Beverly of Groves; and grandson, Bruce of Groves.

A visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at Levingston Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.
